THE DISTANCE BETWEEN ARRIVALS

 

For ten days, Haus der Kunst Baden will become the temporary exhibition venue of Galerie Ruberl. Alongside the solo exhibition by Olga Shcheblykina, a selection of artists and works from the gallery’s programme will be on view.

Olga Shcheblykina’s artistic practice moves between painting, sculpture and installation. Using a luminous colour palette and multilayered, restless surfaces, she explores themes such as sensitivity, vulnerability and corporeality. The hybrid forms of her works transcend traditional categories of art. They exist in an in-between space where form and meaning are in a constant state of flux.

The selected works from the gallery’s programme include positions from classical modernism as well as works by Austrian artists of the post-1945 avant-garde. Arnulf Rainer is particularly well represented, with works spanning different phases of his practice from the 1950s through the 1980s.
