Olga Shcheblykina & Katharina Huemer

With Intervention #1, a new exhibition series begins, inviting young artists to enter into dialogue with works from our gallery’s collection.
In its first edition, Katharina Huemer and Olga Shcheblykina encounter one another – two artistic positions that engage with human experience, corporeality, and emotion in distinct ways.
In her work, Huemer examines historical image traditions, detaching subjects from their original contexts and reassembling them into new realities. Olga Shcheblykina’s practice explores concepts that address the human condition within the tension between aggression and vulnerability.
In her expansive installations, she combines painting and sculpture to create a dynamic transitional space in which form, meaning, and emotional impact remain in constant motion.
